What is a Health Coach?

An Integrative Nutrition Health Coach is a guide and mentor who empowers you and provides ongoing support and guidance as you set goals and make sustainable changes that improve your health and happiness.

We are inundated with unhealthy options and its time to get serious about your health and well being.

As your Health Coach, I will listen carefully and we’ll navigate the world of contradictory nutrition and health advice together to explore what truly works for you. 


Did you know that there is no one size fits all approach when it comes to food and what you should be eating?  What is good for you might not necessarily be good for the person next to you.

The concept of bio-individuality is the idea that each of us has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background.


Your body is the most amazing biocomputer. It knows when to sleep, it knows when to wake, it knows when to breath. Your heart beats on its own, and given half a chance, your body heals itself by itself. So when your body craves certain things, it's telling you something. Cravings play an important role in understanding what your body needs and shouldn't be ignored. When you learn how to deconstruct your cravings and understand what they’re really telling you, you will be able to reclaim a sense of balance and harmony.

Primary Foods

Eating healthy wholesome food is an important factor in achieving optimum health but did you know that other factors affect your health? Finding balance in your “primary foods”, along with eating healthy foods,”secondary foods”, optimizes your general health.Primary foods are the things that you do that nourish you. Healthy relationships, a career that you love, physical activity and a spiritual awareness are part of these primary foods and they are essential in achieving a happy and healthy life. If you take pride in eating well and  have your green smoothies everyday  but keep walking into that job or relationship that makes you feel like you have “shackles on”, chances are you are increasing your chances of getting sick. My role as your health coach is to guide and support you in achieving balance with the right nourishment for your body and your mind.

 Crowding out 

Living in a fast pace society, we are driven to want quick results. When making changes to your diet and lifestyle, the tortoise wins the race. We will slowly introduce healthy habits and healthy foods little by little to allow your body the chance to assimilate these new habits instead of depriving yourself all at once. This approach will eventually  “crowd out” the unhealthy foods with the healthier ones making them long lasting. As you begin to feel better, you will naturally want to continue on this journey of health, balance and harmony.

As your Health Coach, I will look at all aspects of your life and connect the dots between who you are and who you want to be. We will work together to have a better understanding of what works best for YOU. We will create your own personal blueprint so that you can reach your goals such as optimal weight, tackling those food cravings, restful sleep, more meaningful relationships, whatever your goals are, we will find a way to accomplish them in a way that is empowering and exciting.
